SWINGING INTO SPRING…

As the sun sets on our visit to SWFL. (That’s Rob in the above pic, and the below pic was taken yesterday walking along Canandaigua Lake.)

The lovely Spring flowers of the Dutch Connection at the George Eastman Museum last month in Rochester and the Maple Sugaring weekends this month around Canandaigua assure me each year that Spring is truly on the way!
We were able to reflect during our quieter time this Winter on what a terrific year 2022 truly was. Thanks to our guests, we had our busiest year ever at Bella Rose. And somehow we still managed to fit in lots of adventures and entertainment, too. Last year Rob and I attended five live concerts and more than half a dozen festivals, explored a material number of new wineries and breweries (part of our job as we certainly want to have great recommendations for our guests!), traversed a number of Finger Lake trails that we had yet to experience, traveled with our adult kids to Cape May for a week (and enjoyed great food and attraction tips from our B&B guests haling from that region), vacationed in Essex, CT., and many other escapades. Safe to say, we may have been a bit pent up coming out of pandemic world more and making up for lost activity time like our guests!
Back to Bella Rose. So what makes us unique? Well, if you have already stayed with us, you know that we strive for the utmost comfortable and clean rooms and providing fabulous breakfasts. I am always trying out new recipes (love, love to cook, as does Rob).
And we are continually checking out our local culinary scene that enables us to direct you to the choicest eating establishments. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it 😉 Hence, our continual hiking, biking and kayaking exercise, too…
Also, keeping abreast of regional activities and attractions is extremely important to us so that we can direct our guests best according to their preferences. There’s more things to do every year! Just yesterday a 6 day jazz festival began in Geneva featuring 20 regional, national and international (and please checkout the regional free music website at flxmusic247.com that updates daily musical acts playing around the Finger Lakes – musical acts in Canandaigua and our immediate surrounding areas are denoted in red). Or how about a Murder Mystery Cruise aboard the Canandaigua Lady this summer? Or one of our popular 5ks, Marathons or Triathlons? Or maybe a less strenuous cooking class, local play, museum tour, or a wine, beer, grape, garlic, art, or other festival? I can go on….
Please let us know if you need direction or have any questions! We hope to see you soon 🙂 In the meantime, our kind regards, Jill and Rob
